Chapter Leaders Regional Summit: Connect, Collaborate, Elevate!


We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Chapter Leaders Regional Summit on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22. This gathering is designed exclusively for our dedicated chapter leaders and active chapter members to connect, collaborate, and elevate their impact.

This event promises leadership development, inspiration, collaboration, and networking—all at the Royal Neighbors of America Home Office in Rock Island, Ill.

Note: We understand the various constraints that might prevent your participation, and we are committed to inclusivity. Stay tuned for future announcements as we take the Regional Summit on the road, with additional gatherings in various locations in the coming years. While this upcoming summit is focused on the Midwest region, we welcome everyone to participate.

Who: Chapter leaders and active chapter members are invited to attend.

Cost: There is no registration fee to attend the Regional Summit. Some travel costs will be reimbursed for up to two members per chapter. See the travel cost section below for details.

Where: Royal Neighbors Home Office, 230 16th St., Rock Island, Illinois 61201

What: This two-day event will feature a variety of activities to connect, collaborate, and elevate your chapter’s impact! We will have some learning opportunities as well as entertainment throughout the two days.

Date: 12:00 p.m. CT on Friday, June 21 through 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 22



Travel Cost

We will provide some travel reimbursement for up to two members per chapter. If more than two members would like to attend, they are welcome to join us at their own cost or the chapter’s cost. If chapter funds are being used to attend the summit, this would require a vote by the chapter.

What is Covered?

  • If driving, we will reimburse the person driving $.67 per mile (maximum of $200)
  • If you live in the Quad City region, we will not reimburse for mileage
  • Or, $200 per member toward airline fees
  • One night’s stay at the hotel per member if you live 45 minutes or more from the Home Office
  • All food and entertainment will covered be during the Summit


FAQs

What if more than two members of my chapter want to attend?
This is great news, but we do have limited space for this event. Please reach out to your Member Engagement Specialist to discuss. If there is room, we will welcome additional attendees. However, we will not cover their travel costs.

If more than two members want to attend, the chapter needs to identify who will attend through a vote at their chapter meeting.

Do I need to bring any materials with me?
There are no particular items you need to bring with you. We will provide everything you should need.

What if I have a companion coming with me?
We understand that some of you might have a spouse or friend drive you to this event. They are welcome to stay in the hotel room with you, but we will not have room for them to join us for the conference or any of the entertainment.

What hotel will we be staying at?
We made arrangements at the Holiday Inn, Rock Island, Ill. This is located within two blocks of the Home Office.

Do I have to share a hotel room with someone?
No, you don’t have to share a room. However, if you would like to share a room with someone else, please indicate this when you register.

What if I want to stay at the hotel for more than one night?
Please reach out to your Member Engagement Specialist, and we will see if the hotel can accommodate this. The hotel is at capacity the night you are staying.

Will there be a lot of walking?
The hotel is two blocks from the Home Office, and Friday night’s evening entertainment is at Circa ’21. This venue is about three blocks from the hotel.

What is the entertainment on Friday evening?
We will be attending Circa ‘21’s showing of Jersey Boys. This is a long-standing, historic dinner theatre. Learn more about the show here.


What if I don’t want to attend the evening entertainment?
That is fine! Just let us know in advance so we can fill your seat. That evening’s show is sold out.

I have a dietary preference.
We are happy to accommodate this. Please indicate this when registering and/or notify your Member Engagement Specialist.

What is the last day to register?
The last day to register is May 8th to receive the full benefits of the Summit. We do have limited space for this event, but if there are still seats available, we will consider a late registration.

What should I wear?
We suggest casual or business casual. The temperature in the room can vary so we suggest you bring a cardigan or sweater.

What about parking?
The hotel has free parking, and there will be parking available at the Home Office.

What if I have a last-minute change?
We understand that things come up and adjustments may need to be made. Please contact your Member Engagement Specialist about last-minute changes.

What is the start and end time?
The Summit begins at 12:00 p.m. CT on Friday and ends on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CT.


What is the Summit agenda?
We are currently working through all the details and will be releasing the agenda soon. If you are already registered, we will send an email with this information. We will also provide it here.
