Find a Local Partner Choose a local partner that is need of food, clothing, or other supplies, then determine their specific needs, such as canned goods or winter coats. Examples include a women’s shelter, an area foodbank, or a local school. This is also when to schedule the delivery/pick-up date with your local partner.
Build a Team Talk to your chapter, family, friends, colleagues, faith groups, etc., to join in your effort.
Identify a Drop-Off Location and a Timeframe The collection location for your drive can be about anywhere – be sure to let others know where and when to go to donate.
Get the Word Out Examples include social media, printed flyers, and word-of-mouth.
Sort Incoming Donations You may need to sort your donations and pack them in a specific way. Such as separating women’s clothing from children’s clothing. Be sure to pack everything in clean boxes or bags to make delivery or pick-up easier.
Delivery/Pick-Up Now that everything is sorted and packed, it is time to get these items to your local partner!
You are Finished! Wasn't that easy?
Be sure to document everything with lots of photos to share with Royal Neighbors. This is also the time to send thank-you notes to your donors and volunteers.
